Cupcake Phillip Birthday

I made this little Cupcake Phillip card to enter a DT Call on YT for Jamie from the Not2Shabby Zibbet store.  She is such a sweetie, and she has a great selection of stamps!  So thought I would post him here and enter a few challenges.  The die cuts are from MFT, and of course Cupcake Phillip is one of the Fairy Tale images from CC Designs.
Here's a Close-up of the little Banner:
Do you  set resolutions or goals for yourself in the new year?  I hope to get my craft room organized once and for all (I know, wishful thinking that even if I get it organized it will actually stay that way!).  I also need to get healthy.  I hope everyone has a Happy and Healthy New Year!

CIP - Family Christmas Wishes

Hello there Creative Inspirations Paint fans!  I hope that you're all enjoying this holiday season in whatever way you choose to celebrate!

This sweet little gal is from Whimsie Doodles, such a cute image!  I've colored her in Copics and went over the pink with Creative Inspirations Paint in the Pink Highlights, and the white under the 'fur' in Winter Frost.  I've cut a paper doily in half and sprayed it with glimmer mist, the flowers are IAR, and the pretty crocheted piece behind the largest flower was done by my Mom.

CIP - Sky Blue Sleigh

Hello CI Paint fans!

For today's project I've painted a wooden sleigh with Creative Inspirations Paint, and added some of the Jeweled Inspirations bling (SS30 Clear and SS34 Clear).  I started off by using the Sky Blue paint, and added a layer of the Blue Ice paint over it.  Love that bit of shimmery white it has added.  The runners/blades are painted in Antique Silver.  The sleigh is filled with bits and pieces of pine, silver, and white.

Christmas Trees from TAWS

I've been busy working away at Mom's Christmas card list, so over the next few days I will try to get the completed ones posted.  Most of these are the cards that have to be mailed, so they are fairly flat to make that easier for her (and less expensive because they sure do add up when you make them 5.5 x 5.5).

I've used a cute freebie from The Alley Ways Stamps.  It's a trio of Christmas trees that I've cut apart and placed on a die cut and paper doily before adhering them to the card front.  I've colored them with Copics and added a touch of glitter pen to each (gold on one, silver on the other).
The Challenges I'm entering are:
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - #184 - Christmas
Cute Card Thursday - #246 - Red and Green
Paper Playtime Challenge - #90 - Christmas Colors
Fussy and Fancy Challenge - #77 - I Love Christmas

Thanksgiving LO

Hello my paper crafting friends!  A few weeks ago I found myself the lucky winner of a holiday layout class.  It's been years since I've even attempted to make a 12 x 12 layout, and I have to say that I was so excited when Pinky posted my name as the winner!  Pinky (Cristal Hobbs) teaches classes at My Creative Classroom, along with a group of other talented ladies.  So, if you're looking to learn something new, or wanting to relearn the thought process on something you used to do, check them out and see what they're offering.

If you check out the website you'll see the error I made where the ribbon should just be on one side at the top of the layout.  When I went to do the second layout I forgot to flip it and ended up putting it on the same side.  You know how well some tape sticks?  Well I use the GlueArts tape runner on my paper projects, and it really adheres paper or embellishments permanently when you use the permatac like me.  So, I compensated on the ribbon goof and added it to both sides, moving the square with stamped image up to even things out.

Without Photos:
With Photos:
I was so excited to show my family the layout when they came over on Thanksgiving, but I think they were even more excited to see that I actually worked on getting some photos scrapped!  Next week we get to work with Acrylic!  This will be a new experience for me, and I can't wait.

Challenges I'm entering:
Simon Says Stamp and Show - Thanks
Do You Stack Up - DYSU99 - Numbers
Scraptastic Club Challenge - (Farmers Market Colors)

Birthday Boy with CI Paints

Hello CI Paint fans, and Happy Thanksgiving to those of you here in the US celebrating!

For today's project I've made a card for an upcoming birthday, and tried some distressing with the Creative Inspirations Paint.  I colored this sweet image from CC Designs, and cut several die cuts using recycled cereal boxes with cardstock over the smaller pieces (the crown and birthday tag).  The frame is plain chipboard with the Onyx CI Paint directly painted on to it.  The coverage really looks as solid and shimmery either way.  I added some clear gloss over the crown (love the flecks of shimmer under that gloss!), and then stamped the Happy Birthday tag using the White Deliquesce embossing powder.   To add a bit of distressing I painted over the white lettering, with Onxy, and then dry brushed it off.  His cupcake is topped off with a bit of Carmel CI Paint, and I've just chalked around the edges of the cut image to finish it off.
